Hampton Community Christian Daycare is licensed by the Department of Human Services. We are currently licensed for 170 children. We participate in the Iowa Quality Rating System we are currently a 4 out of 5 star. We participate in the Child and Adult Food Program.


Baby land: infants newborn to age 1. Infants along with their daily needs being met they are offered a lot of stimulation and fun. When they are developmentally ready they will move up to the next room.

Cuddly Kittens Room: 1 year olds. The toddlers are offered a lot of things through out the day. Centers are always changing to meet the needs of the children.

Little Lambs;  Two year olds can be very busy  so keeping them busy is what the staff in this classroom spends a lot of time doing. Potty training is a big learning skill in this room.

Busy Bees: 3 year olds- In the mornings these children are offered preschool activities inside and outside.

Friendship Garden: 4+5 year olds We offer 4 year old preschool in the mornings activities are planned throughout the day both inside and outside. Friendship Garden children walk to the pool, city parks and other area attractions..

Kid Planet: We offer activities for school age children before and after school. No school days and during the Summer we plan field trips and activities for the children here and away from the center. The children go to the city pool , walk to the library and see many of the city's attractions.

We have the privilege to be located across the street from the early childhood building and the School Bus stop. We have our staff walk across the street to drop off children pick up children from the H-D School.


We currently have 27 staff .

We have a director, assistant director and a full time cook. The teaching staff are all assigned to classrooms. We feel that consistency in  the classroom is very important for the child and quality care.

Our staff are all trained in CPR- First aid, Mandatory Child Abuse reporting, and Universal Precautions. The staff are all offered and take additional training during the year.

Safety of our children is the most important priority. The staff have all passed State and Federal Criminal Checks- Adult and Child Abuse record checks.
